About us
The HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen stands for practice-oriented teaching and application-oriented research in close exchange with business and society. Thanks to its large regional network, many long-standing cooperations and excellent study conditions in 39 subjects, it exudes a strong appeal to talented young people. With around 6,400 students, HAWK makes a major contribution to attracting young talent to companies in Lower Saxony. HAWK is ranked 6th among the universities with the strongest research nationwide. In addition to the complexes of regional development, education and participation; green engineering and ecosystems; laser and plasma technology, the research work in the areas of health, technology and digitalization has now also been recognized. Thus, HAWK excels in 4 key research areas.
In 2021, HAWK celebrated 50 years. And at 50 years, it looks back on over 10,000 alumni. We are proud of this.
Studying is a stage of life and a particularly formative time for every student. Teachers and fellow students are important people during this time, because they often make it an unforgettable and enjoyable time. With new knowledge, skills and talents, alumni go out into the world to change it in small and also in large parts.
